FFA

Congrats to the Landscape Management students on their second place finish in the Utah FFA Nursery-Landscape Competition at Utah State University in April 2017. This was the first year the JATC South (and each student on the team) has competed in any FFA competition. It was a great, and unexpected, finish!

The JATC South Campus FFA Chapter was selected as a National Food For All Grant recipient for 2016. With the $2,500 that the FFA Chapter was awarded, students have purchased seed and planted a large vegetable garden onsite at the JATC South Campus. The produce harvested from the garden will go directly into the Jordan School District School Lunch Program through year-round elementary schools, Summer Feed sites, and traditional K-12 schools in the fall.

With the help of Nutrition Services, the FFA chapter will host public education classes in the fall of 2016 with dates and topics to be announced at a later time.
